on thursday we welcomed in our 3rd niece! lucky to share a birthday month with such a little pumpkin. Sarah Arlene Butler  9 lbs 13 oz a big name for a big lil gal pal. parents and proud big sis hazel are all doing well ... the family sure is growing fast! pls excuse the grainage to these shots.

we are busy with appointments all over the place. we had 2 this week. we have 2 this coming week. 2-3 the next and by george it will be 1-3 from there on out. ...unless you arrive, well early. ha. today we had 2 appointments. 1 in the eve and 1 in the morn. you were 145-150 bpm for both. steady lil thing aren't you?! in the morning we saw dr. W. he is so funny... told him i was at a doula dinner with him last year and he got on fb and we looked at LY's pics. ha! like who does that?! he complimented my tummy and inquired what i was doing for stretch marks. answer: lotion. not the bull shit $20+ lotions in a bottle the size of a peanut  that are supposed to rid them... that the annoying sales person from Motherhood Maternity tries to sell every time. like, she doesn't even have kids. sometimes i want to punch her in the face for being the most annoying, in your face, sales person ever and telling me i probably need more clothes. lady, listen - why would i buy more clothes

long overdue, but: shower central little nugget,  we are so excited for you to put to use all our goodies  and gift cards friends and family  so graciously gifted.

twenty-nine. a birthday breakfast from mister john. i don't feel old. but i can't believe i am 29. i am very much ok with it,  but it seems like time is going by so quickly. i felt happy and amazed this morning. i lay in bed the sun shining.  a fall day.  my sweet next to me. my baby moving in my hand. never does time cease to amaze me. it certainly goes fast  and it is crazy to look back on  how i came to this spot in time. i have a feeling this 29th year  is going to go by faster than ever before but i am choosing to savor it. by staying focused. staying motivated.  staying in moments that matter. happy 29th year to me.

this is upsetting: john 64:26 / caren 62:28 some really tough ones this week. i told john he should just pick really bad  and let me win b/c it's my bday. at least i thought so... anyone else do this and struggle? pockets. pumpkins. bibs. been about a year, but still cute as ever.

i've said it before, things are smooth. but that is not to say being pregnant isn't hard work. here are some of my assistants. the snoogle was a little confused and unsure about this one the first few days,  but if you only knew how much of a godsend this little guy is... makes sleeping and hip pain so much nicer. ergonomic chair again... what is with me and the hips. this sucker is better ergonomically (is that a word?), and really helps my hips from feeling sore from sitting all day. meh. and it's fun to bounce around on occasion too. pelvic rocks great for getting baby in a more optimal position  but we aren't really to that point. also great to stretch (you guessed it) my hips! and obviously good for the pelvis. sometimes at nite i'll do a few just bc they game changers when i feel  all stiff or sore. johns hands not sure what life would be like without these. mister john gives superb back rubs. i was spoiled pre pregnancy and now e
