a weekend.

we had a very nice one.
imo:
full.
productive.
fun.

i treated myself to reading on the porch on friday eve.
fresh air + and quite the book.
...more on that in a future post.

check out this "throw back"
i am in love.
no motor noise. no gasoline. and a nice work out.
we don't have an extensive yard so this little guy does the trick.

my first "lawn job"
you all have grounds to make fun of me, but i am proud of it.

your eyes don't deceive you.
35 or so bags of "yard waste"
mostly leaves as the previous owners apparently didn't give much thought to raking or leaf blowing.
they had been there so long they had started to make top soil. seriously.
john's parents came over to dig into the disaster that was our backyard.
thank you.

FLYING PIG MARATHON!
sunday was cincinnati's flying pig marathon, half and all sorts of other races.
it was great seeing so many people out and congrats to all the runners!!
i think i smell a half (or MAYBE a full) in the future... re-inspired.

how cute are these 2 handing out free high fives to the runners?!

our niece hazel with her mommie due with soon to be brother/sister a month before us!

this guy knows how to cheer.
"i see you. how you feelin? all down hill from here. someone told me you could do this allllll day long!"
i enjoyed the rhythm to his cheers.

my sweet.
secretly checking out the ins and outs to strollers.
someone's gotta break daddy in right?!

Hope you enjoyed the hi-lites
and another congrats to
Brittany, Nick, Jen, Amy, Alyssa, Hal, Molly
and the many other runners that finished some of the races this weekend.
high fives to everyone :)
