i have a list of things i want to do pre child.
not sure if i am going to make the deadlines.

perhaps writing this will hold me more accountable-
i'd love to come back and post and say i did them all.

these are among many other non baby related "to do" list items.
maybe it's unrealistic to have these goals all pre-baby.
but, i know my life, time and priorities will change dramatically
so i am trying to plan ahead.
i'm sure regardless of whether these are done or not won't ruin our baby-moon,
but it'd be nice to have them signed, sealed + delivered by the end of November
or rather by all my above "due dates"


Are these goals unrealistic?

i think those are great goals! but if you don't finish them all pre-baby, no sweat. i finally did our wedding book, still haven't done prints to frame. and my name isn't legally changed yet either! (shh) so i am going to omit the baby-related things and just adopt your list as my own. :)

this makes me feel better about the wedding pics and name change!! i would probably drag my feet a little longer on the name change, but i'd like to have the right name on the baby BC. but you are right, if it doesn't get done life will sway onward! looking fwd to hearing/seeing pics of your trip. cannot tell you how envious i was reading your tweets.

Realistic - well I imagine you will get 80% of it done such the planner you are. And the list with the dates is the trick.
Course, you are pregnant and that means you have someone inside of you that can change your whole direction and order.

waiting for our arrival

over and over again, this theme rolls onward  in my life right now. i feel aligned, mostly positive, gracious and overall pretty happy.  there's been multiple times i wanted to sit and write this piece, but then there's this part of me that says "but what if things didn't work out as you said?" "what if you go broke?" what i have learned my baby's first month

i have a guest post coming about lessons learned in a baby's first year and i started tracking what i was learning because every day seemed like a new lesson. i'm certain this will grow. i have learned: 1. how much more laundry a little makes (not including cloth diapers).  our water bill coming must be astronomical. 2. it's not easy to be the same wife you once were while tending to a little.  our love may be stronger, but it takes more effort. 3. projectile vomiting is common among ferocious eating newborns. 4. large breasts are completely overrated. 5. how much you will melt looking at your husband with his daughter. 6. i'm not sure i can fathom someone else taking care of my child even if it's family. 7. that cheering over and congratulating large burps is a common occurrence. 8. that my driving has tremendously improved (and everyone else has become worse). 9. how fast the days go by because  a) we nap b) there is always something (everything) that ne
