uh huh, sugar, sugar
yep.
it's glucose testing time!
woo woo!
a week or so ago i was busy playing diabetic.
is it wrong that once i got the hang of pricking my finger that i enjoyed it?!
i also liked seeing how food affected my blood sugar.
i also confess to being a loser for enjoying these things. judge away.
why a finger prick you ask?
well...
it's more accurate. duh.
the glucola drink test has the potential to have some nasty side effects
along with having to fast first (which i am not good at...)
and it also doesn't really give a large amount of info
as to how a body regulates blood sugar
day-to-day with one's normal diet.
i could go on, but i wont.
so pricking away we went.
3x a day for 3 days.
and it took no time at all.
i'm pretty sure i passed as i didn't hit any "dangerous" numbers,
but i won't get it looked at until another 2 weeks and 4 weeks with dr. b-money.
step I.
write down all foods and times.
(dont worry - the sheet tells you when to test).
step II.
prickle and squeeze.
step III.
seep the blood into the strip and let it read.
ta-da!
