How To: A Closet Master

i posted earlier about my laundry list
and closet building was on the list.
my pop, vince, is a masterful man.

this isn't really a legit "How To"
because i am not explaining the steps quite enough
BUT
here is vince's process.
i sketched out my vision and he came through with flying colors.

he and mister john have been working on getting this bad boy in action.
i present:
my closet.



isn't it just lovely?!
it makes me pretty happy.
and sane.

john warned me when i asked vince to build the closet.
"be careful what you ask for caren, if you asked your dad to build you a house,
 he would"
oh so true.

he matched all the crown moldings and doors.
he re-adjusted the vents and did the electrical work.
bragging rights? i think i have them.

One year. There's still a side that does not want to give the past year my time, but truth is it does indeed warrant the reflection. It flew us into chaos and back, upside down and completely steady again. And it continues to do so. It was Thursday the 12th (2020). Everyone was acting quickly, chaotically and given the immensity of the circumstances, I believe irrationally. In the digitized age we live, it's easy to breathe the hype and addiction to the flooding of information and if your inner core is in fact feeling unsafe, judgement, or fear then I can assure you it won't be a completely rational decision. hurdles [sleeping thru the night]

er, or not sleeping through the night rather. "no, she is not sleeping through the night. thanks." this actually is what i want to say sometimes, but i'm trying to stay positive. and disclaimer: please don't read this and think i am talking about you if you have asked me this before. it's more irritating to be asked over and over by the same person expecting a different response. isn't that the definition of insanity? hmmm. just because other 5 month old babies sleep thru doesn't mean that mine will at this time. and just because they sleep through at 2, 3 or 4 months doesn't mean that stella fits that exact  cookie cutter mold. hmph. every heard of individuality? unique? if this sounds defensive, i probably am and that is probably due to the fact that i am tired. do i want a full night's sleep? duh. am i used to getting up 3-4x a night lately? yes. am i functioning on broken sleep ok? barely. will this las...
