life lately [in pictures]

it's been a long winter and as i write i hope i don't jinx the fact that spring is on it's way. this winter seemed extremely long to me and has taken the greatest toll on me, mentally. sunshine today and a play date with friends in the park does give me a glimmer of hope that spring really is coming...

soon!

here's a little bird picture update through the winter.

bird being her happy bird self. bed head and all, playing with her rosie red doll. i'm sorry, but i think she looks like momabirdski here.

tired bird bopping her head to our favorite mumford and sons on the way home from a coffee shop.

what's that? why, yes your eyes don't deceive you: it's pebbles twin! birdie gets a pony. on deck: another hair trim to figure all of that out... a large sign to moma she is growing up.

we haven't left the oral stage. i'm afraid we never will... winter brings lots of playing indoors unfortunately. we do our best to keep entertained with things like mini brooms and wooden cars to eat.

bird's really taken a liking to babies and taking care of them; feeding, patting, hugging, kissing, and dancing with all her babies and stuffed animals. as tough and rough she can be on things she has a gentle, nurturing side too. it's so sweet to watch.

did i mention yet, that we coffee shop hop in the winter? we do. we (er, i) sip on a mocha, we eat a small treat and read books and laugh at pictures of ourselves.

one day, you decided you wanted to wear moma's boots like a big girl. (ps look how long my friggin hair is!!!) and there's snuggles with dada. we limit your tv, but when moma is at sewing class or starbux time dada and birdie curl up to watch some thomas.the.train. i'm so happy it's not barbie or mylittlepony. then again, i think we'd agree to keep that out of the house as long as possible.

lately, i can't keep track of all the birdie's new words and new "tricks" -
i probably owe her a letter update soon since so many changes are a'happening so quickly.

it's been cold. it's been long. it's been tiring. but, boy it's been fun with this gal.
